To bandwagon on your optimism, I have spent a fair amount of time around "burn bags" and can tell you, no one leaves them around. My guess is they found the electronic files in a tricky way, keyboard trackers or what have you and pulled it together, printed it out and said look we found them in the trash, i mean burn bag.
