This is all theatre, every bit.

Truth Seeker's avatar

the Art of the Deal is anything but theatre.

Pay Attention.

Cabogirl's avatar

Thank you for that !

Billy G's avatar

You’re playing the left right game. Trump is is the same sandbox as the others, it’s just which of the gangs is going to take control. You’re whistling past the graveyard if you think Trump is some 10D chess player. His background says otherwise

Truth Seeker's avatar

Hardly, yours is the common error of equivalency.

Sandbox analogy is cute but dense...

Lydia's avatar

yep absolutely.

Billy G's avatar

Absolutely! “They” let things get so bad leading up the the election that you had no choice but to vote for Trump. I even knew he was just part of the game.

Lydia's avatar

And even Trump said he would vote Liberals in Canada over Conservatives …Liberal in Canada is the Democrat in the U.S., why would he do that, and say that just before election ? Because he knows the guy and they are doing each other favors, all part of the plan.. They are acting and sadly most people fall for it.

It may be that Trump wanted to draw the globalists out into the open when dealing with Canada. Carney is clearly a globalist. Poilievre claims not to be, but some have expressed doubt. That ambiguity might have concerned Trump. It's always harder to negotiate with an unknown. Or it may be that he recognized that Poilievre, even if a sincere nationalist, would have his hands tied by domestic politics. The irony here is that Canadians who voted Conservative might get a better deal with Carney negotiating rather than Poilievre, leaving Carney's Liberal voters holding the bag with no one to blame but themselves.

Truth Seeker's avatar

Lower level reasoning skills on full display.

Lydia's avatar

keep dreaming, i guess before you fall asleep at night, you help yourself by imagining yourself sucking on trump’s toes as your pacifier , and looking at him straight in the eyes feeling like you are looking at God’s perfection, and feeling so safe.

Truth Seeker's avatar

Lydia you are is stiff competition for stupidest commentary of the day.

Come up for air, or descend into the abyss.

Te Reagan's avatar

Trump is really a democrat.

SEF's avatar

I resisted the elementary-school style herd mentality pressure and made the well-informed choice to NOT vote for Trump, and fully stand by that decision- I just wish 2 or 3 million more Americans (just about 1% more) had joined me. It reminds me of 2021 when I resisted the herd mentality pressure and made the well-informed choice not to get the mRNA vaccine. Truth usually wins in the end (though many will never admit it openly, just like with the mRNA vaccines).

Billy G's avatar

If I might ask, did you vote for Harris? If so, just as bad in my opinion. I’d sit it out and was going to. But as I said in my first post, “they” made is so f*cking terrible and Trump said the right things. I won’t fall for it again. I too gave no thought to getting the poison.

Graphite's avatar

If only you had had Canada as the 51st State... an additional 90% of Canadian voters would have chosen Cackles because... she 'was not Trump' and 'abortion'!

The same "leverage" that makes him impotent against Iran, Yemen, Russia and China? Explain, and be specific.

Truth Seeker's avatar

PP try to say something relevant. There is this thing called Accurate Assessment. No one is going to let a comment like become an enticement.

Velociraver's avatar

No, Will seems to think that Trump has "leverage" in this equation, and I'm asking for clarification as just what he thinks that "leverage" amounts to..your input is off target and makes it seem that you lack reading comprehension skills.

Excellent explanation. The true benefit far exceeds Lydia's commentary.

Lydia's avatar

newsflash people who try to trick each other with gain in minds are not friends, the thing here is that carney doesn’t have a different opinion, he’s acting.

Theater for the politicians and globalists, but, unfortunately, all too real for the people who will suffer and pay for it.

Kathleen Melonakos's avatar

Classic Trump at his finest. He thinks BIG on our side but helps people meet THEIR needs too. Fascinating to watch on the world stage.

Upper Level reasoning. Lost on most commenters, unfortunately

Pirate Studebaker's avatar

Trump is not a businessman. He is a conman who thinks "a good deal" is stiffing hardworking people and bankrupting small businesses.

That's a criminal not a businessman. I think you may be confused.

Stephen Carter's avatar

No, a criminal is someone who turns the White House into the nexus of global child sex trafficking, and parcels out departments of the family crime cartel to Liz (the wife) and Hunter and a couple others.

S S's avatar

They're ALL the Same, Including Corporate America.

Graphite's avatar

Who shut down small businesses during the so called 'pandemic' ? Who allowed casinos to be open and closed churches???

DistantSun's avatar

Not Trump. The governors were in charge of their states.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

Clown. And here you are.

Billy G's avatar

I understand he’s a businessman. As a politician, he’s gone after the low hanging fruit such as deportations. But his administration’s seeming disregard for the 1st amendment is outrageous. Additionally, I didn’t vote for Benjamin Netanyahu or Miriam adelson to make Israel great. His callous comments on Gazans and his continued help to slaughter these people disgust me, but this is just one persons opinion.

Truth Seeker's avatar

That comment is actually stupid. Low hanging fruit??

You know what they say about opinions right?

Billy G's avatar

You’re a real wordsmith. A real honor to criticized by someone of your abilities.

Truth Seeker's avatar

thanks! shall take a bow

Billy G's avatar

Since the simple concept of low hanging fruit was beyond you, you might not understand the concept of sarcasm

Truth Seeker's avatar

The good news is how many reader realize the accuracy of your statement.

Bravo. There is the "like" option that really needs improvement...

Howz about agree etc.

Janet Mayhew's avatar

I think it was all a planned drama. It appears they know each other and have had dealings in the past.

MzLady's avatar

yes they do!

check out "Moose on the loose" on yt.

there is much to learn there....

J Butler's avatar

Which side or both sides? If you were negotiating would you not be prepared? So your may be……?

Cara Wakefield's avatar

No, they haven't. It does not appear that way at all.

Janet Mayhew's avatar

They know each other and have had dealings in the past. Do some investigating yourself and you will see.

Cara Wakefield's avatar

Well who cares if they do? What difference does it make? Both men would be expected to know thousands of people.

MzLady's avatar

go watch moose on the loose on youtube.

David brings all the receipts. you will be surprised....

Carney and Trump definately know each other.

Cara Wakefield's avatar

What difference does it make if they do? Who cares?

MzLady's avatar

so at first you keep denying the relationship,

now you say what difference does it make and who cares??

what a fraud!

Kelly Sexton's avatar

There was no art of the deal. Canada's prime Minister stood up to Trump like a real leader. He made Trump look very small . That's the art of the deal.

DistantSun's avatar

We all have our perspective on the world and what we see. I saw Carney as the smaller man. He felt timid to me.

Coffee, Other News and More's avatar

Yes Carney may be physically smaller but if you look at his face he spent much of his time laughing quietly at the buffoon sitting next to him

Carolyn's avatar

Oh my. I certainly did not see that!

Eric Ohlson's avatar

You are either a troll or a corrupt individual or likely both, either way you should be ashamed of yourself!

Kelly Sexton's avatar

Someone is not a troll simply because they don't agree with you.

MzLady's avatar

I throughly enjoyed watching Trump destroy Carney's efforts to upstage him.

As well as he knows Pres.Trump, one would think Carney would know better than to try such a trick on Trump on, the National Stage, from the White House, with most of America watching! What a fool Carney is....

Velociraver's avatar

To those who think Trump "won" and that Canada will crumble..Canada elected an Oxford PhD in economics who was governor of both the Bank of England and the Bank of Canada, you elected a twice-impeached conman and rapist who got pissed on by a Russian prostitute, bankrupted four casinos and a "university", and holds 34 felony convictions..

The whole world is laughing at you, and your upcoming civil war will make for entertaining television 🤔

Fat Clemenza's avatar

The only alpha males in Canada are truckers and hockey players. Carney may not he the homo that Trudeau is but he’s likely a poseur who stands no chance versus Trump. His nation has had defacto defense from American taxpayers forever so DJT’s proposal is a good one.

Fat Clemenza's avatar

“Glorious and free,” 100% courtesy of the United States of America. Free to elect liberal douchebags because you’re just north of a superpower. You’re welcome.

MzLady's avatar

I can't wait to see Trump absorb Canada as the 51St State.

Coffee, Other News and More's avatar

Carney is a master diplomat and let Trump ramble in his usual incoherent way. .Things like Canada would get a better health care system is totally wrong, while Canada's health care could be improved, It would not be by following the US model which has the highest percapita cost of the G7 and the worst outcomes with life expectancy in the US more than 4 years less than the rest of the G7, or maternity mortality rate around twice the rest of the G7 and for that the rest of the G7 pays around 60% of the cost for health care in the US. Trumps figure of Canadian exports to the US economy is only 4 % - when it is actually closer to 17 %. No Carney played Trump for the fool he is allowing him to ramble on spewing facts that are unsupported by anything other than Trump's ramblings.

Occam's avatar

Master diplomat lol

Carolyn's avatar

Hmmm, David or Goliath. Golly gee, I wonder what will happen.

Coffee, Other News and More's avatar

It was Trump that invited Carney to Washington but before the meeting it was Trump saying he did not know why Carney was coming or what Carney wanted to talk about. Carney knew the meeting was for show and it was best to let Trump show the world what a buffoon he is. Trump fell into the trap by making outlandish and un supported statements

Carolyn's avatar

Hmmmm, Trump looked like Trump. Since he was voted in as president, the majority of people like his look. Carney didn't really have much to say????

Coffee, Other News and More's avatar

Carney showed Trump to be the narcissistic psychopath he is. You can not have a conversation with such people, they only hear their own off key trumpet blowing in their ear. Trump squeaked in with only 1.5 % of the popular voter over his opponent and in a multiparty race where it is much harder to get a share of the popular vote Carney won by 2.4% When looking at approval vs disapproval ratings Trump is under water by 5% and Carney soaring above at 15% in the positive. Even anti Carney alt media sees Carny as having played Trump well.

Dealt with enough narcissistic psychopaths to know the best way to deal with them is to let them run off until they run over the cliff.

Did not vote for Carny's local candidate but have to say in the Trump/Carney show mine and the overwhelming global public opinion Carney far out performed Trump and demonstrated true skill and diplomacy.

Carolyn's avatar

Trump got a majority ..... Carney did not

Pirate Studebaker's avatar

So..you don't know how the story in the Bible ends? One of the most famous stories in all of human history?

You really don't know? You must be a Trump supporter.

Carolyn's avatar

You think the States and Canada will play out like David and Goliath? Nuclear against, uh ...... gun buyback? Give it a rest

Pirate Studebaker's avatar

It's not Canada who doesn't understand who they're dealing with. It's you.

Find God. Listen to Him. You won't regret it.

Pirate Studebaker's avatar

Yes. Trump supporters are terminally afflicted. It seems worse than dementia.

Chris Buchanan's avatar

I find it interesting his point about erasing that artificial line between the two countries because of esthetics, yet I can’t help but notice when you look at the map that the USA has many more lines within its boundaries. Any plan to erase those?

Chantal's avatar

Douglas Murray filmed a documentary about the drug epidemic in Canada. It is truly horrific and widely ignored. Carney will have to change course given the unsustainability of the current one. Like Trump said: “Never say never.”

Chantal's avatar

That’s how you “own the room.” Like a boss. 😎
