Nice commentary! I very much appreciate President Trump’s transparency in directly answering questions. What a marvelous improvement over Biden’s so-called “presidency!”

Two examples of how much better Trump is than Biden were on display there; Zerohedge, an outstanding journalist organization, is now allowed in WH after being rejected by Biden admin, and Trump honestly and intelligently answers press questions at length.

It isn't just the USA, The West, all of us, our "democracies" are more ritual than fact. There IS a ruling class, the Corporatocracy, and it wants 100% of this world.

The Seymour Hersch piece is the most comprehensive and believable account of how it was blown up. No other story even remotely comes close to the actual facts and the reality of doing something that deep In the ocean. It sure in the hell wasn’t a bunch of drunken Ukrainians in a rent German yacht like the WSJ claims. That ship had zero ability to hover in place and it couldn’t anchor in that deep of water

The destruction of Nordstream 2 illustrates what a pathetically supine nation Germany has become. The pipeline wasn’t owned or built by Russia but by a consortium of foreign investors including the Swiss and Germany. It was to be operated by Russia however. How is it that the German government made no complaint about the destruction of the pipeline despite knowing who was responsible, Biden. Any self respecting government would have demanded compensation and severed all military ties with a country which claims to be an ally while blowing up a strategically important piece of Germany’s infrastructure.

BS on the tasteless, crude, offensive Pope meme. Catholics ARE offended … and the fact that it was reposted on the official WH account is detestable.

And I’m doubtful the First Lady thought it was funny.

I think the New York Catholics should be worried about their state's extreme participation and endorsement of child sacrifice, rather than a meme people made up of Trump as Pope.

Catholics in flyover country (the kind who bother to attend services) are not offended.

Flyover country.. I've never cared for that term it makes it seem as if the people are wholly irrelevant yet guess where the big cities food comes from? Rednecks and people who live in "flyover country".

And you don't think the First Lady has a sense of humor?? You would be wrong. You people make a big deal of what he wore to the funeral of one of the worst people on this planet..you think him being there was some sort of crime and he should have been removed yet everything your catholic legislatures do against morals and the Bible is ok. Please get over who you think you are

Catholics that are outraged are often so because the media is telling them to be. They have little personal emotions invested in the cause. Even if it was Jesus that was mocked the outrage would not be the same as what happened in France with Charlie Hebdo as the media only creates superficial hate.

Someone pointed out offensive/tasteless anti church Rihanna stuff that was not AI generated yet does not cause the same amount of outrage. There are other examples of catholic and religious parody that are used to divide people. People should see the propaganda for what it is and learn to understand what freedom of speech was protected for. It is used to protect speech that we do not like so we do not get top down censorship.

Search for "rihanna catholic parody" for starters and then "nude catholic parody" which found many I had no idea existed.

Parody is protected speech and outrage about it is pointless, parody is almost always a result of some failure on the part of those parodied. Not always justified but usually.

Being offended versus being outraged (or saying it should be outlawed) are different things. I was bothered that it came out on the official White House X account. I’d already seen it circulating for a couple of days prior. Big difference. And certainly there are far more offensive memes, and depiction than that, and I don’t need to go looking for them..

I suppose you have a point. The source does matter a little. Though it does not make it any more offensive, it just reduces the social standing of the source, so no more offensive unless you are a WH groupie.

I am sad that you felt offended by what is crass humour that is to be expected by a captured government that is in the business of manipulating the media as much as they are able.

What would your feeling have been if it was a meme from the WH of an AI edited Dalai Llama or Budah?

Same. I think it is always bad form to attack or belittle one’s religion. I’m not that sensitive, but I do get angry that somehow it is always OK to mock Christianity, and Catholics in particular.

You’d have to be an idiot to not notice the double standard (imagine if Trump sent out a meme of himself as Moses, or Mohammed…).

Further, Catholicism is a business based on double standards and as of late, the actions of the church fall short of God's vision for Us, I'd think. Walls are bad (Vatican has a 40ft wall around it), don't harm the Innocents (how many abuse cases are there), God rules (Vatican city is literally the smallest most exclusive functional nation on the planet), be humble (yet they're grandiose)...

The best comeback on the Pope idiocy was, “ No, I don’t want to be the Pope. I wouldn’t be able to have Melania”. Instead of laughing, the prigs let out a collective gasp. Which was even funnier than Trump’s reply.

But it was nothing compared to the Zelenskyy episode. Trump was walking out of the Oval when the Ukrainian side shouted out another question. He didn’t hear her and one of his assistants got his attention. He went back to his seat, already frustrated and pissed off, asked her to repeat the question. She repeated,” (pp)” What would happen if Putin decided not to honor a deal?”. Trump replied,”What a stupid question. Asking about something that might happen , might not happen. How would I know? What if a bomb fell on your head?”. And he got up and was ushered out of the room.

I never laughed as hard in my life! Until his CBS interview with Moran last week. “ Mr President, do you trust Vladimir Putin?”. And without skipping a beat, Trump replied, “ I don’t trust YOU!”. OMG, my ribs ached for two days. It was hilarious!
