I had a foray into hell as a result of 3 months of Paxil, lost a 6 figure a year job, bought a corvette and got a crazy meth head for a girlfriend. My marriage almost ended and I had numerous close calls with high speed and dangerous people. Coming off it was like continuously being electrocuted, this lasted for a couple of years. The only way to mitigate the side effects was heavy consumption of moose drool and Guinness and the strongest cannabis I could find. This seemed to take the edge off but made life a bit more challenging. Nancy was right drugs are bad, just say no, unless it grows or occurs naturally then you need to take as much as humanly possible. After years of cannabis consumption and dark beer I finally emerged into a somewhat comfortable spot but it took a decade and cost me hundreds of thousands. We are owed everything by these pharmaceutical companies, no amount of compensation would come close to the damage on our society, add opioids, gabapentin, adhd drugs and were are talking about almost the entire adult population. We were all completely fucked over so they could make a buck. Capitalism at its finest. Ask me again why I don’t trust any American doctors, I wouldn’t let them trim my toenails as they would just cut your toes off so you don’t have that problem.

What happened to taking an oath to do no harm?!

Swear not at all. Oaths are effectively vows to lie and betray.

I had two antidepressant induced suicide attempts. These drugs are over used and dangerous. Cchr.com

NEVER EVER BELIEVE BIG PHARMA AND THOSE CALL DOCTORS - who are simply paid drug pushers - they cure no one and nothing !

A very good resource/protocol I have helped patients implement to successfully come off psych drugs is this one...

How are the placebo no different from the antidepressants? Placebos do not cause withdrawal symptoms that take some years to overcome.

I am surprised there is no mention in the article of orthomolecular medicine and the use of the diet supplement called EMPower+ from the Truehope Company in Alberta. Thousands have gotten off their psych meds and stabilized their mental health this way.

I had mild and short lived postpartum depression after my first son was born but did not recognize it until years later. During my second pregnancy, three years later the depression started when I was three months along, manifesting mainly as irritability and fatigue.

It wasn’t until my second son was 2 1/2, my husband and I were about to go for counseling, and all my tests for Multiple Sclerosis came back clear, that my neurologist suggested that I might be in a major depressive episode. I started on a prescription of Zoloft the next day.

The only way I can describe the experience is to say that I came back to myself. The woman who existed before the PPD was awake and has been in residence ever since. That was 27 years ago. My husband and I found that we didn’t need counseling, and my MS symptoms gradually faded away. I continue to be grateful for the diagnosis and medication.

Different than promised is putting it mildly. I could tell many, many stories but it was known right from the beginning that these drugs were very dangerous. The campaign to push them as the answer to real stress rather than empower people with stress management was intense, to say the least. For instance, in the city where I once lived I taught stress management workshops twice year to teachers. These workshops were very popular and very effective. Then the school board brought in "psychologists" to take over that function. They didn't design workshops or set up counselling. They set up a scheme to push anti-stress drugs on everyone. I walked in on strategy session while they were away at lunch. The plan was all laid out on large pieces of foolscap that filled the room's walls. That was before everyone carried a phone around with them otherwise I would have photographed it all. The founder of Prozac was hired to head up the psychiatric/medical school at U of T and was immediately fired because he brought with himself reems of scientific evidence that proved how dangerous his discovery really was. And...psychiatric drugs were supposed to be prescribed by a psychiatrist. They made these drugs available for all GPs who started dolling them out. Even the psychiatrists didn't receive updates about dangers and contraindications. I know that because I used to send information to one who told me so...and was suitably appalled.
