FYI: The Texas law was challenged in federal court by the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) and a student advocacy group. A ruling is expected by December 15, 2025. If a favorable ruling is issued, it will delay the implementation of the App Store Age Verification Act.

Sen Mike Lee is the biggest phony phreedom phighter on the planet. He always talks a big game about how he fights for individual freedom, but will turn over when it comes to the ideas he wants to impose upon the US. If he were a consistent liar, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with him. But when he goes full-on hypocrite, he makes me want to hurl.

Sorry, I am in Utah and disagree. NumbersUSA says Senator Mike Lee has an A+ rating for all the good bills, he has passed. He is a very good Senator...family oriented. In regard to this issue today, with children being banned from the Internet...It is not a bad idea. I don't think young children should even have cell phones...RADIATION! It destroys the brain...causes brain tumors. In fact , even having a cell phone close to the body; like some fellows do in a pocket can cause health problems. i don't own a cell phone...and as someone who has driven across and back the U.S.. a number of times...never had a need for one. Children should not be sitting in front of an electronic laptop without EMF protection. They should be studying or doing healthy outdoor activities. We did not have all these electronic devices growing up and we were far healthier than the young people today...many are obese from sitting too much.

I hate when "AI" is used. AI is nothing more than programs, lines of code, which do exactly what whoever paid for the program to be written wants it to do. It does not know right from wrong or good from bad intrinsically, and never will.

In other news, Medicare has already been denying people care through Direct Contract, which is now called something else. All the monies allocated to a Medicare participant are given to the insurance company up front, and then the insurance company keeps what it does not spend on the participant. What could possibly go wrong. When it was first implemented, one of the big insurance websites was ecstatic. The plan was/is to make the primary care doctor handle everything and restrict access to specialists. And voila! I have a bone on bone knee problem, my first primary care visit - the doctor said hey, we give knee replacements to 90 year old folks (I was 77, not on any medications at all), piece of cake! Two weeks later, follow-up - he looked me in the eye and said hey, being in the hospital is very risky for someone your age, let's try physical therapy and maybe you can join the Y so you can float in the pool to ease the pain. Evidently he ran the knee plan past the insurance company and was pretty shameless and obvious about them saying nope. So now, the fake mantra of AI will be waved over denial of care.

I am in the UK.

Many of my substack articles are age restricted censored for readers in the UK.

They can get around it using a VPN.

That censorship started around the 20th November.

What has happened is that I now find (starting yesterday) that chats are age restricted censored. And I cannot get around it with a VPN. That is the frightening part. They somehow know I am in the UK even though I am using a VPN.

Here is the screenshot:
