IMO, they have no choice but to defend her vigorously and then deal with her after this dies down. To not defend Wiles is tantamount to admitting she is telling the truth. If he praises someone, it's time to look up their crimes. At the same time, the deep stater being praises is going to relax, thinking they have fooled Trump and they will let down their guard. Trump has known for decades (probably 40 yrs) how to play the game of winning at taking down deep state. It's often difficult if not impossible to figure out his moves. But if he's praising someone, it's a sign that he knows they are deep state, he's exposing them and he's allowing them to think they have won, when in reality they are about to arrested and carted off to Gitmo or some similar move.
It's hard for me to admit you are probably right, because I know we need to fix the medical and food system now to survive. God help us if you are right.
