If all the hard criminals have order of removal go find them. Innocent US citizens & legal immigrants are also being rounded up and detained and even getting killed. ICE doesn’t have the authority to do so many of the things they are doing in Minnesota. A long standing policy at DHS on discharging firearms is to never fire at a moving vehicle, but now Good is dead.
At the risk of offending someone, I think it is necessary to revisit this. The real "left" has known. for well over a hundred years, that immigration is the reserve army of capital. A larger pool of labor suppresses wages and working conditions, while increasing demand for housing, food, and other necessities. Immigrants apply, but the government chooses who gets admitted. The immigrant cannot be blamed for being admitted. It is the government that has failed by not doing its due diligence on those admitted. Those who enter illegally, have broken the law. Yes, they need to be deported in accordance with the law, which includes due process. There is no question that there is a massive problem in the US. However, it isn't a left/right/Dem/Rep problem, it is a problem of politicians and government policy. Both parties have been guilty, for decades, of lax immigration policies and even more lax enforcement of those policies and laws. I would go further and say that the rapid demographic shift in immigration was inevitably going to create a problem of too many too fast for proper integration. While the current administration is taking action, it is important to remember that "the big beautiful wall" had a gate in it in which "they can all come back, legally", so numbers are going to continue being high.
The tactics being used by ICE are tactics taught by Israel. What is happening is an internal application of the current administration's belligerent foreign policy. The public has never seen, what are essentially military tactics, used before in this manner, causing many distress and to conflate the legality of the actions with the tactics being used. In that context, it is no surprise to see what is happening.
Completely crazy that it's somehow evil (or fascist) to seek to remove people that are here illegally and habitually commit crimes against the American people.
Actually it's the opinion that they should be entitled to stay here that's logically incoherent.
