Generation Z organizing around anti-corruption demands is a significant development. When young people lose faith in institutions and take to the streets in large numbers, it signals a deeper crsis of legitimacy. The government's response of dismissing these protests as orchestrated by the right or bots only reinforces the disconnect. Labeling legitimate grivances as artificial or politically motivated is a classic way to avoid addressing the underlying issues that sparked the movement.

Protesting like this or voting socialist are really bad signs from the younger generation.

And, of course, the establishment characterizes them to deflect blame from its role in fomenting these feelings.
