Curious? I am terrified. I believe the risks of AI, e.g. job loss, losing control of it (a la HAL in 2001 A Space Odyssey - was it prescient?) far outweigh any perceived benefits. Unfortunately, Pandora's box has been opened and the CCP in China, bad actors in Russia, Ukraine and elsewhere will not cease their dive into AI. Mankind has reached the limits of its common sense (collectively, not individually [thank goodness some remains]) and is now orchestrating its own enslavement to machines or its complete demise.
Thankfully I am nearly 70 and will not be alive to witness the end.
Sorry, accidentally posted reply prematurely. Other scifi flicks include the Terminator series of movies. And AI is being used in some defense systems to more quickly respond to threats. That part might be good. But, can you envision a sociopath easily modifying a defense system into an offensive/attack system? It is not unfeasible for big pharma to use AI to craft another "final solution" like Hitler and his sick nazi pukes did. llaw555 hit it right on. AI can be programmed to default to the worst behavior or it can mutate as a defense response. We've let the genie out of the bottle!🤬

AI still doesn’t work correctly. Ask it to calculate the ideal age to take social security, given a bunch of parameters & it makes huge, obvious mistakes. Ask AI to determine the most likely batters to hit home runs & it gets the opposing teams & pitchers wrong - correct it, it apologizes, but then calculates again with the wrong opposing teams & pitchers. This is with free Grok & Perplexity, but I can’t imagine that the pay versions are better… likely the same logic.
This bovear, could reducing methane effect digestion, since bacteria responsible for digestion produce methane? How is the going to impact the health of the cattle or any other animal ingesting this drug?
I was one for 15 years … vegan for two…now I would say, I eat sustainable, wild and ethically grown food and I had to add some animal protein back into my diet. Unfortunately.
As a vegetarian, I attempted to wake people up to the horrors of factory farms and why eating organically and ethically is imperative for the health of the planet and all life, but I was never so ignorant to believe injecting animals with a synthetic drug to erase their carbon footprint would be a good idea. I feel great compassion for them.
