There are many factors involved in energy pricing and since EVERYTHING relies in some way on energy the pricing of energy impacts the pricing of everything else.

As son as energy costs go up all who sell products/services will raise prices to avoid a loss however they are far slower to respond when prices go down b/c they want to milk that higher pricing for as long as they can. I too am deeply disappointed. An Independent, I’ll still continue to come out and vote for common sense, “conservative”, America First candidates. I’ll do that because it’s my responsibility and frankly, All I can do. But am I happy with the results? Absolutely not. And it’s a false equivalency to claim it’s “good” because it could’ve been so much worse under Kamala. We expected something very different from what we are getting. Especially those of us more in the MAHA camp and former Democrats or Democrat voters in the past.
I’m 74 years old, and was raised to believe voting is a personal responsibility. That I have to do the best I can to discern the optimal, or at least, the least objectionable candidate, and do my duty as an American. I don’t know if that’s a common value any longer. But my children learned it. I hope solid American citizens of all persuasions will do the same.

The problem is you can't really trust any politician. And the way governments are today-totally unaccountable, corrupt to the max, micromanaging all of human life, and some actually psychopaths and insane, it is even worse to trust them now than ever.
Let's face it. Would a truly principled, honest, courageous person give up everything to be a politician today knowing the swamp that politics is? Knowing that they had little chance of changing much for the good of most people?
