16 college age men in this “study”?! That’s not a STUDY

To be fair, a study isn't really needed. We have all the evidence we need to know it's a harmful habit.

CAN (cortisol, adrenaline, norepinephrine) vs DOSE (dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins). CAN drives Limbic system impairment. DOSE promotes growth and healing. I suspect that the addiction is more driven by adrenaline than dopamine.

This is a tricky topic because the activity has been normalized in the U.S. It ruins marriages, and it results in violating vows. Some therapists encourage its use. It distorts healthy sexuality and usually involves secrecy. In general, women dress and groom in an effort to provoke a sexual response in the mating competition. I think it gets down to choice, values, love, and sacrifice. A doctor told me years ago that it affects the brain in harmful ways. There is no way to rationalize that this activity leads to fulfillment and wholesome, stable relationships, although those who want their cake and eat it, try to. It seems life is so much about resisting temptation in every sphere; every resistance builds character, and strong characters are most desirable.

With young women crying about the "patriarchy " and "toxic masculinity" not to mention posting intimate details of their personal lives on TikTok is it really a surprise young men get addicted to porn?

Also, please try not to place porn addiction on women’s (even stupid whining women’s)shoulders— or any other body part. Blame games in this arena?

Only a very few of us truly subscribe to that crap.

Most sensible women are able to appreciate the good and the irritating aspects of men and eventually we begin to realize that some of the irritating aspects are tied to the GOOD.

Example: Sometimes we want to simply have a conversation with a man, and complain abt the stupid thing our coworker said, without the man attempting to solve the problem.

Eventually, we mature and see that problem solving is GOOD, and that trait is also helpful when the damsel truly is in distress, or even when the man is called upon to take charge or lead soldiers into battle.

These idiot women griping abt toxic masculinity are immature simpletons, parroting what liberal media tells them to say.

I for one, need masculinity. Men need femininity. They don’t always know they like clean dishes, well arranged/decorated rooms, framed pics of family and friends, and yummy smelling clothes, but they do.

Many even appreciate cozy Christmases.

It’s a tale as old as time. It’s right in the bible (greatly paraphrased here), “If you want the strength of the bull, you must be prepared to deal with the bull… excrement”.

Truer words were never written— and by the creator of men, himself.

21 men with " no history of substance use." What is a "substance?"

Also, for that matter, what is "pornography?"

Online pornography has wrought untold destruction in and to our country and its people. We must face that squarely in order to even begin to reverse course. Turning on the light is a great step forward.

Sadly .. this addition often leads to

Poor choices , like enjoying images of young people who should still enjoy being a child. Thanks for

the insight. I have sponsored someone who fell into this trap ..

life becomes extremely raw and

no longer hidden.. if you catch my point !

It takes less than pornography to hijack the male brain. A girl in a bikini can do it.

Unfortunately I'm a bit of an expert on this, with more credentials than I'd like to admit. Currently about two months cold-turkey, without any other action...

In Renaissance times, artists (drawing) would go into brothels to draw the erotic escapades.

The first Polaroids that were taken were of nudity.

My European in-laws laugh at the traditional stuffiness of the West to erotica, porn, sexuality.

We are so uptight, yet there are a lot of hypocrites when it comes to this subject - listen to what I say, certainly not to what I think or do.

Thanks, Vigilant Fox, for taking on this topic of the epidemic of the use of mind-altering porn. Restacked.

Most porn these days is so destructive, with depictions of actual BODY destruction (think vaginal and anal tears and prolapses) celebrated as "empowerment".

The porn industry tries to get kids addicted to it when they are very young, so it becomes a reflex for their budding sexuality and shapes what they expect in real life situations.

"Studies show that 70–90%+ of men under 40 have viewed pornography at some point. The more alarming figure is that 40–60% of men consume it regularly." I've seen estimates that a third of internet content is porn or similar content.

We need to get past the pathetic verboten stigmatization of those viewing porn content with all types of evasive blackouts of what is actually being seen. Sure, there's the disgusting, race to the bottom grotesque carnal and destructive scenes. There is also lots of lighter content that some call "art porn". If the reality is so pervasive and ubiquitous, let's get it all out in the open, both men and women, discuss the mechanical qualities and unnatural and unrealistic aspects discussing it with all those viewing.

The Puritans get a bad rap for wanting to cover things up especially human sexuality. In reality they wanted it all out in the open, were painstaking in describing biological functions and social realities. Why do we keep sweeping all this smut under the rug?? Let's get it out in the open and let the light of day expose what this is. When I was a teenager I mentioned this to a priest who asked me to bring out the skin magazine to my embarrassment. That's the sort of thing that's needed instead of cover ups.

Pornography ???

- BIG business, mainly in the hands of The Chosen Ones and

- NO negligible part of global depopulation agenda,

What a coincidence !!! 😆😆😆

The MOST atrocious kind to be found in US sex-education videos and books divulged and force-fed to the kids some decades ago. Parents were not informed and neither allowed to watch or read ...

Oil and Porn. They accelerated technology we take for granted today with Algore’s inner netz. GSI, a geophysical exploration manufacturing company owned Texas Instruments. They designed the integrated Circuit ICs for oil and gas exploration equipment. The design is on a napkin in the Austin Bob Bullock Museum. Then TI owned GSI. Later, after Algore invented the Social Security Lock box, since his daddy voted against the Civil Rights Act passed by Republicans, a Techie Texan from Austin and two California pornographers conceived of and got funding for higher and higher speed internet connections. Also funded by Algore’s internet taxes. To provide high speed access to porn. As Algore was getting his second chakra massaged on his boat the BS-1. And Bubba was doing the same on Epstein’s Lolita express.

As a side bar, Atheists proved the heavy oil in Venezuela and California, both homes to child sex trafficking, doesn’t need to come from fossils. When they zapped organics with high voltage to mimic the volcanic era, to create “life”. Instead of life, they ended up with heavy oil. Proving that peak oil due to fossil fuels only is a myth. Later destroyed again by NASA finding rivers and oceans of liquid hydrocarbon fuel on Titan. So oil can have both biotic and abiotic origins. And we no longer need to have perpetual resource wars. We have enough proven oil and gas reserves for 350 years including developing country advancements. And with out wasting hydrocarbon fuels on perpetual resource wars, for 500+ years. Plenty of time to bridge to cleaner plasma fusion energy. And then to reverse gravity wave transportation.

God Bless, 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
