What gets me is how these daycare fraud schemes exploit program gaps that were supposed to help families, then the investigation stalls at the leadership level. Used to do compliance work in health services and the "referal loops" between funding sources and service providers were always a red flag for auditors.
Unfortunately having a moral compass is in direct conflict w US politics.
But being bought and paid for by billionaires, multinational corporations and foreign governments is virtually a pre-requisite for getting/staying elected and advancing political ambitions such as getting on the “best” committees (while shamelessly lining their pockets).
