Before one is charged with contempt, one actually has to SHOW contempt. Fauci could plausibly plead the fifth when asked about texts relating to the origins of the virus, since he could be charged by any of several states.

The easiest way to get to more truth faster, seems to be to look more closely at things that are censured so heavily. The good information is hidden in plain sight. You just have to believe that very good ideas may be hidden because they threaten a status quo high profit business model and then go look for them. It is so inspiring.

Anthony Fauci - who received a preemptive pardon from Joe Biden - invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times in Senate testimony today. A pardon is supposed to end the need for the Fifth. You can't incriminate yourself over conduct you've already been forgiven for.

I’m sorry but today was theater. I have no expectation that Dr “Fraudci” will ever see justice for what he did during the pandemic on this side of eternity. He knew he was guilty because he accepted President Autopen’s pardon, and the Supreme Court already decided in 1919 accepting a presidential pardon is an admission of guilt. And in defense of many of the J6ers I don’t think attacking presidential pardon powers is a wise move for posterity. The real question is, why did Sen. Paul release the diary BEFORE the hearing? The doctor’s pride is just pathologic enough that he might have actually lied under oath which could then have been a proper “gotcha” with a post hearing diary revelation. Instead, the Sunday reveal alerted Dr Fraudci, and no sane person should have believed the doctor would not invoke his Fifth Amendment rights, whether or not he comprehends legally an invocation is unnecessary under the pardon. Well, now politicians and pundits have their sound bites and the rest of us are left to wonder when anyone will be held accountable. In a full vote of our dysfunctional senate and house I have little faith he will be held in contempt and actually have jail time. I just wish I understood why Sen. Paul gave Fraudci the heads up.
