IN the 1900's the lightbulb industry was faced with a problem, it's bulbs ich were even then relatively inexpensive, lasted way too long. They needed a means to ensure regular lightbulb replacement and so they introduced planned Obsolescence to the design. They artificially shortened the life of a lightbulb to force customers to replace the bulbs on a more regular schedule. There is nothing "illegal" with planned Obsolescence and it's been implemented in effectively all physical devices today from your appliances to your electronics to your Phone.
in the pharmaceutical industry the equivalent of p[planned Obsolescence is "treatment" instead of "Cure". Look at this strictly from a business perspective and it makes sense. If you can either provide a lifelong treatment option that will secure $1,000 annually for an average of 30 years versus selling a one time cure for $10,000 which would you choose? Even though the cure is 10x the profit initially the treatment is on average able to produce 3X the amount of profits and it will do so on a regular/fixed schedule.
Add to this additional life long treatments for other diseases and it becomes clear very quickly as to why the industry avoids cures in favor of treatments.
How often does cancer come and go within the body in a lifetime, and is only deadly if found and treated with radiation, chemo and surgery?

I think anyone can read a book on nutrition, recommend vitamins and herbs, and then advertise themselves as a “naturopath.” Dr. Henry Ealy, a well-known naturopath, has a course of instruction to educate future naturopaths. There is not a uniformity of education and you don’t want just anyone prescribing naturopathic remedies who may not have a clue about what he’s doing. I think some states might also have licensing requirements. Any naturopath readers here who can inform us of the process of becoming a naturopath?

Ahhh so this is why I started seeing articles about apricot seeds containing cyanide last year!
