President Donald Trump issued a harsh rebuke of Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene following her recent remarks criticizing the White House.
CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins asked Trump about Greeneâs social media post expressing frustration over his White House meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, a former al-Qaeda leader, Monday. The reporter also pressed the president over her comments criticizing the administration on cost of living and other domestic policy issues.
âI donât know what happened to Marjorie,â Trump responded. âSheâs a nice woman, but I donât know what happened. Sheâs lost her way, I think, but I have to view the presidency as a worldwide situation, not locally. We could have a world thatâs on fire where wars come to our shores very easily if you had a bad president.â
He called former President Joe Biden a âhorrible president,â pointing to the conflicts that began during his administration. âI put out 8 wars, 9 to come. I think Iâll get the other one taken care of,â Trump said before highlighting the economic toll of the Russia-Ukraine war on the U.S.
âWhen youâre president, you really have to sort of watch over the world because you are going to be dragged into it otherwise,â he added.

Trump then referenced his support for the âOne, Big Beautiful Bill,â calling it âthe biggest tax cuts in the history of the countryâ before taking another swipe at Greene.
âSo when somebody like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is now catering to the other side ⊠I guess sheâs got some kind of an act going, but Iâm surprised at her. But when somebody like Marjorie goes over and starts making statements like that, it shows she doesnât know.â
Greene called out al-Sharaaâs visit to the White House on the U.S. Marine Corpsâ 250th anniversary in a post Monday on X. She also noted the recent lifting of sanctions and ongoing Christian persecutions in Syria, writing, âHowever, I would really like to see nonstop meetings at the WH on domestic policy not foreign policy and foreign countriesâ leaders.â
Greene also turned her attention to the cost of living in a Sunday interview on âOn The Recordâ with Atlanta News First (ANF). âI give President Trump and his administration â theyâre holding it right now at 2.5%, thatâs pretty much the average, and thatâs a good thing. However, life is unaffordable,â she said, turning her attention to health insurance and other issues.
