Alas. MTG goes to the G-word on an Israel war-conduct issue, just like all the hateful ACAB types who became Free-Free-Palestine types.
Love her style or hate it, she's one of our ONLY national politicians who does not suppress the Covidvax story. So this is a real setback for the truth.
First, Tucker w/ his Cooper crap, and now this.
Israeli war-conduct is a legitimate issue. Israel's (natural) attempts to influence U.S. military/foreign policy is a legitimate issue. Mossad-conduct is a legitimate issue. Even, though much junk has been written on it, outsized Jewish-American lobbying-power on Israel's behalf is a legitimate issue. But if in the course of discussing such issues, you start liberally using the Z-word, and worst of all, you bring in the G-word to describe Israel's actions, you rightfully become consigned to the haters' pool. MTG must apologize.
Genocide has a legal definition. As far as I have read, this war does not fit that definition. It is a mistake for politicians to confuse the truely horrid things that happen to civilians during war with genocide and color the news with such opinions.
Yes. And if one can make a case that present Israeli war-policy is making such horrid things far too likely to happen, or too often, then one should make it. But the term "genocide" is not going to have any place in such a case. Even the forcible relocation of the whole peoples, a radical step, and one it's not clear that Israel will try, is not genocide.
