I often think the late, former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov, whose 80s lectures are available on YouTube and elsewhere, was often right on the money. One of the fascinating points he made was that subversion as taught to KGB students was far more often mundane than exotic spy movie stuff. And the most striking point was that much of it was LEGAL. He talked about mass demoralization and destabilization. He reminded us that media seeks to drive societal change, without accountability, despite being elected to nothing. It's pretty much automatic. Every time I hear of the ilk of Jones or Reid (second hand, because I won't seek them directly), I think of Yuri Bezmenov. The Soviet Union no longer exists, but enemies of the US certainly do. And I think the intellectual heirs to the old Communists have kept notes.
