College is definitely not preparing the majority that attend to accomplish any serious goals they set for their careers. It’s gonna get you in debt.
Go to university to teach (at universities), become a physician, lawyer or engineer as well as STEM.
But if that’s not your track, the arts are gonna leave you in debt and you’re still gonna start at the bottom.
Best advice I could give a young man:
1. Enlist in the military. If you’re especially adventurous do something hard like the infantry.
2. Learn a trade. Rich white chicks can’t do anything on their own. They rail against the patriarchy but also can’t lift 10 pounds. Work with your hands, learn to fix things = taking money from those fools for keeping them cool in the summer.
3. In any of those roles you take, simply be on time, be willing to be led, and be willing to step into leadership roles = success.
4. Stay far away from habitual drug and alcohol use. If you’re under the age of 26, stay away from marijuana. Otherwise learn to be a gentleman’s drinker. All those homeless folks you see probably got there due to drugs and alcohol addiction. Fact. Some are mentally unwell, yes but you can’t control that so not an excuse for you not to stay tempered in those vices.
5. Go to university much later in life, after you’re established and your heads on straight. You’ll find it much easier, and much more enjoyable as a result.
6. Stay fit - exercise is your brains natural drug. Also keeps your body in good order for when pure older and it’s much more important for wellbeing. It’s easier to keep exercising in your fifties rather than beginning to exercise in your fifties.
7. Be wise with your money. Wait till you’re established to buy the flashy shit. But do travel and see things. Don’t hoard your money. Nothing says failure like dying with tons of money you never used. Use it wisely but use it for experiences.
After that it’s pretty much autopilot to a very decent life.
