One New York Times reporter tried to frame Republicans as the ‘party of taking things away.’ But Jennings shut her down with a response she didn't see coming.
That’s really not a good idea. Addiction is a disease, and like any illness, it requires treatment. Without access to healthcare, how exactly are addicts supposed to recover? Would you rather they stay mentally unstable and desperate—resorting to crime just to feed their addiction—or have a chance at rehabilitation and stability?
Access to medical care is a basic human right. It shouldn't be withheld from anyone—ever—not refugees, not undocumented immigrants, not anyone. The real problem isn’t who is receiving care, but how much healthcare providers are allowed to charge. Prices have become so outrageously inflated that even the working class can barely afford treatment—let alone someone fleeing cartel violence or an 18-year-old trying to survive after being raised by abusive, crackhead parents and turning to fentanyl to escape.
These people need help, not judgment. Based on your comments, it sounds like you’d leave someone bleeding on the sidewalk just because they looked like a “junkie” or weren’t born here. That’s not compassion—it’s cruelty.
And if you call yourself a Christian, you might want to reconsider, because Christ absolutely would not stand behind that kind of thinking.
Addiction isn't a "disease". But that doesn't mean there isn't a foundational deficit that leads to addiction. It's irrational to assume that someone who wants to approach mental health a different way is cruel, or would leave someone "bleeding on the sidewalk",
IMO, one of those foundational needs is usefulness. Work requirements would begin to address that, and would offer a chance for people to raise their own personal expectations and develop life-skills. That may only work for people headed downhill now; and be less effective for those in chronic crisis now. But it's a way to head off future despair.
Addiction treatments are spectacularly unsuccessful for the majority. There isn't a universal treatment that can be relied upon. So why not try a multi-pronged approach?
Instead of scapegoating addicts, why not hold accountable the systems that actually allowed this crisis to explode?
Why not blame the failure of law enforcement to stop the import of millions of metric tons of poison into our country every year? Or the politicians who profit from the rehab industry—like Arlen Specter, who had financial interests in treatment centers?
Let’s not forget the CIA, which was proven to have smuggled cocaine into the U.S. to fund covert wars. Ever heard of Iran-Contra? That entire scandal was fueled by cocaine money. The Bush family, by the way, originally made their fortune smuggling opium in China. Do you honestly believe they, and others like them, just walked away from such a profitable business?
Drugs are illegal for one reason: they’re a multi-billion dollar source of off-the-books funding for intelligence agencies and military black ops—operations Congress won’t legally authorize or fund.
When we invaded Afghanistan and ousted the Taliban, millions of acres of opium poppies were planted under U.S. oversight, and heroin production surged. I know this personally—my cousin was a logistics specialist stationed there. His job, for two tours, was guarding convoys of trucks loaded with poppies. U.S. military assets were directly involved.
So let’s be clear:
The problem isn’t the addicts.
The problem is the supply chain, the politicians, and the shadowy government players who keep this machine running—and keep the public distracted with nonsense: gender wars, who deserves healthcare, who’s having sex with whom, or building useless border walls that people climb over, tunnel under, or simply sail around.
Meanwhile, drug traffickers have gone high-tech—automated drones, front trucking companies, domestic meth labs. The system is corrupt from the top down.
The real villains wear suits, not withdrawal shakes.
You'll get no argument from me regarding the systemic failures leading to this crisis. Every one you cited is valid and despicable. I don't purport to have a "cure" for government failures. The spiritual deficit there is above my pay-grade, but I pray and trust that it'll be dealt with in His time and in His way.
Yes, it certainly will be and much sooner than people realize. It is, once again, "As in the Days of Noah". I have been an occult researcher and anti-occult activist for decades. I have seen some seriously weird things in my life. Things that should not be possible that I refrain from speaking publicly regarding because it will make me appear as a mentally deranged schizophrenic because 'faith' is now considered to be a 'mental illness' by modern psychologists. All of these issues are a calculated strategy by adherents to the Canaanite pagan religion called 'Mystery Babylon' in the Book of Revelation. It is a doctrine of pure corruption and it will be dealt with accordingly. It is a shame our government was founded on such enlightened principles only to become a bloated, corrupt mess where the Constitution is repeatedly ignored by those in power and Judges created their own laws against Section 1, Article 1 of the Constitution that claims ONLY Congress is able to enact new legislation. Where I grew up, several Judges were indicted for sending kids to rehabs and were getting kick-backs to do so. My experiences with the legal system leads me to believe that the entire system is corrupt and Judges protect each other from criminal prosecution on a daily basis because they are making millions from behind the bench and are rarely caught because the Dept. of Justice could not care less about doing their job and only focuses on topics that will gain media attention for whatever political group put them in office in the first place. Everything is a 'WWF shit show' at this point. I am ashamed of my government at this point. If you have ever traveled overseas and ask locals what they think of America, they all say the same thing, 'corrupt to the core'.
have you explored the book 'hollywood babylon', which explores the occult roots of hollywood by an insider? (candace owen's book club is about to finish their purview of it.)
and recently i've learned of the occult roots of mid-19th century feminism, which i see as explaining much of the deep anti-family anti-male and their misandrist practices that have followed from that.
There's great power over humanity from negative forces - Satan's forces. Addiction, like 'health-care' writ large, is big business. And not meant to be addressed with compassion and resolution. I'm concerned with not creating more demand for their grift. That doesn't mean that I don't acknowledge a crisis of need. I just reject their 'solutions'. Yes, it's shameful. I do take exception with "healthcare" being a "human right", as this gives credence to mandates that force people into a medical meat-grinder, designed to enrich industry while sickening us. It isn't surprising, however, to see the unmasking of evil. It's at times over-whelming, but part of the necessary process to cause us to choose, with fervor, who we serve.
Addiction is a disease—this isn’t opinion, it’s medical consensus.
The American Medical Association (AMA) first classified alcoholism as a disease in 1956, and all addictions as diseases in 1987.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and World Health Organization (WHO) all define addiction as a chronic, relapsing brain disease—not a moral failing or lifestyle choice.
According to NIDA:
“Addiction is a chronic, relapsing disorder characterized by compulsive drug seeking and use despite adverse consequences. It is considered a brain disorder because it involves functional changes to brain circuits involved in reward, stress, and self-control.”
— NIDA, 2018
Brain scans (fMRI and PET) show that addiction physically changes the structure and function of areas like:
The prefrontal cortex (decision-making)
The amygdala (emotion regulation)
The dopamine system (reward processing)
It affects neurotransmitters, receptors, and impulse control, just like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s affect specific brain functions.
If you deny that addiction is a disease, you’re ignoring decades of neuroscience and the unanimous conclusion of every major medical body in the world.
So yes—addiction is a disease. And like any disease, it requires treatment, not judgment.
Blah blah blah. If they are addicts then they should surrender to God and not suck the life out of tax paying citizens. Jesus will only help those who help themselves. Sorry about your past but the system should not be abused by free loaders who just want to stay home and smoke crack.
'Blah blah blah' spoken like the true erudite you obviously are. You clearly know nothing about Scripture because Christ never said he only helps those who help themselves. That is utter poppycock.
Here’s what Jesus actually said:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
He didn’t say, “Come to me if you’ve got your act together.”
When the woman caught in adultery was thrown before Him—someone society called a sinner, like you call addicts—did He condemn her?
“Neither do I condemn you.” (John 8:11)
Jesus also said:
“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” (Matthew 9:12-13)
The ones who criticized Him for spending time with sinners were the Pharisees—religious elitists who thought compassion should be earned. Sound familiar?
Remember, Christ hung out with drunks, lepers, losers, and the others that were rejected by society. What you are claiming is utterly against his teaching in every conceivable way.
And as for judging others:
“Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.” (Matthew 25:45)
When you withhold care from an addict, you’re turning your back on Christ Himself.
So no—Jesus didn’t say “help those who help themselves.” He said help the broken, the addicted, the despised—because that’s where He is.
Jesus Christ followed the law of the land..."render unto Caesar what it Caesar's, and render unto the Lord what it His." Matthew 22:21 and Mark 12:17. Jesus told us plainly that civil laws are legitimate as long as the higher law within one's 'heart' is allegiance to God. He also spoke of deception and false doctrines. When one is disparaging "Christians" one should make sure they are themselves looking into a mirror!
So you are saying we are ruled by Augustus Caesar (I mistakenly listed Nero originally) still? Boy, he sure is old by now! I have been a pastor for over 20 years. If you want to argue 'Christianity' let's do it.
You are twisting Christ’s words to justify cruelty, but Jesus never taught us to withhold mercy or healing based on legal status. Quite the opposite.”
“Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.” (Matthew 22:21)
— That refers to paying taxes, not denying compassion. Life, mercy, and love belong to God, not Caesar. You cannot give to Caesar what is God’s: human dignity and care.
Jesus said:
“I was sick, and you visited me... Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:36, 40)
And again:
“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Mark 2:17)
When a man asked, “Who is my neighbor?”, Christ responded with the Parable of the Good Samaritan, where the true neighbor was a foreigner who showed mercy.
“Go and do likewise.” (Luke 10:37)
Jesus never asked who deserves healing. He healed Roman soldiers’ servants, lepers, the demon-possessed, and the socially outcast without ever checking their passport, their moral record, or their legal status.
So, ask yourself:
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” (Matthew 5:7)
I think you misunderstood Ruth’s point. As I read it, she is justifying taxes to support Medicaid (please understand clearly about the difference between Medicare and Medicaid) thus “rendering to Caesar…”. I don’t think that supporting drug addiction on Medicaid by my tax dollars is a correct political standard. Your point about Jesus-going beyond the law (not just being nice to people you like-even the heathens do that) but extending mercy to those (who like myself do not deserve mercy) who are addicted to drugs, alcohol, gambling, p0rn, is our obligation as those who have received God’s mercy (salvation-eternal life). However, it is NOT merciful to allow them, give resources to them-Medicaid- to continue in their addiction. Did Jesus heal a little bit or wholly? Should I put an addiction in a program that will let them just get clean physically? The root problem in mankind is sin. The sin of addiction is no worse than the sin of infidelity or lying. Should not we, then, who are saved sinners reach out to other sinners and offer them the gift of forgiveness and salvation found in Jesus Christ. Government programs don’t do this. Medical programs don’t do it. I know Christians who have “fallen off the wagon” so to speak as well, but Christian, faith-based programs typically have a lower recidivism rate. I agree with part of what you say pastor wise wolf. We do need to reach out with the compassion that Jesus showed. But Jesus healed them- He didn’t follow them around and make sure they didn’t get sick again. On that note, encouraging former addicts to get deeply involved in a local body of believers (who also remember the mercy Jesus showed) will help them remain sober, and serving Christ in the church gives all of us purpose, decreasing dependence on substances. A hand UP-not a hand OUT.
No taxpayer is supporting someone’s drug addiction. What are you talking about? Do you think methadone and suboxone are anything like street drugs? I have firsthand experience with opiate addiction. During my corporate career, I was hooked on pain pills for nearly 10 years after a doctor prescribed me oxycontin after a car crash and told me it was a ‘non-addictive alternative to traditional pain medication’. I spent the next several years hooked on that garbage and had to spend tens of thousands of dollars of my own money to get free of that monkey on my back while the company that made the drug in the first place reported record profits from what amounted to creating the entire opiate epidemic in the first place. If you want to complain about where your tax money is going, complain about how the DEA has been ‘fighting the war on drugs’ longer than I have been alive and I am NOT a young man by any standards. Face the facts, when people cannot get treatment they remain addicts and end up in the legal system - often prison which costs far more than rehabs for the tax payer or the hospital and without insurance those costs STILL go to the TAXPAYER. I am sick of trying to argue these points with people with zero firsthand experience with addiction, the rehab system, methadone clinics, suboxone, or even jail and prison. I spent a year after I beat my addiction going to school for social work because I wanted to learn more about addiction and how it impacts the mind of a person. What I learned shocked me. Nations like Portugal, after realizing the war on drugs was never going to work, changed their policies and legalized drugs and used the funds generated from their taxation to pay for healthcare and rehabs. They now have one of the lowest crime rates in Europe, addiction rates are at an all time low, overdoses have been reduced, HIV and hepatitis rates have plummeted, etc. All because they took a more rational approach to addiction that does not serve to line the pockets of corrupt businessman and politicians who are actively engineering the issue for financial gain.
You should really look up Hegelian Dialectics. Most people are too uninformed—or just too lazy—to research how psychological control systems work. Ever heard the phrase “Divide et Impera”? It’s often translated as “Divide and Conquer,” but that’s not quite right. It actually means “Divide and RULE.”
We’re living in an age where the population is split along party lines, never stopping to question that both major parties—yes, both—are connected by ancient bloodlines tracing back to Roman patricians and even Babylonian priest-kings. They belong to the same secretive fraternities—Skull and Bones, Freemasonry, Rosicrucians. They play golf together, attend the same galas, and pardon each other’s crimes. Remember when Trump let Hillary off the hook for high treason? I do.
American politics is theater. It’s no more real than a scripted 1980s WWF wrestling match. A soap opera for people too tired or distracted to think critically. It’s not about red vs. blue. It’s about rich vs. poor—class war. And when I say “rich,” I don’t mean your neighbor who retired with $2 million in his 401k. I’m talking about the oligarchs—people like the Koch brothers—who bankroll candidates on both sides of the aisle and have been doing so for decades, even when those candidates pretend to oppose one another.
The central struggle of mankind is not class warfare, rich versus poor. It is not, as in the present day dialectic, oppressed versus oppressor. No, the central struggle of mankind is not any external, extrinsic dichotomy of purpose; it is the internal, personal struggle of good versus evil, of God versus the enemy of mankind. That is the struggle that underlies all political, religious, racial, cultural, and financial conflict. Don't be deceived by externals. The battle is for the soul of humanity. There is only one right side. God is the only answer, and His Word the only Truth.
Very well said and it actually brings my argument to the final, logical conclusion. It literally is 'good versus evil' and the evil is typically concentrated among the wealthy but certainly exists in every class from the poorest street urchin to the blue collar worker that is a member of a certain 'fraternal' organization and plays along with their shit show of corruption because they are dumb enough to believe a fallen cherubim is somehow going to defeat the Creator.
Why do people use terms like Democrat, Liberal, Progressive? At the core is the word, Communist and trained Marxist who have no idea how to build an economic system. They spout out ideas how bad the current system is everywhere but they never tell you what they will do different than the many previous experiments with communism.
they say Democracy is at risk. Such an evil statement when you tell me 2 wolves and a sheep decide whats for dinner in a democratic way. We did not get a government based on freedomd decided by a court. We had liberty with specific powers given to the government and those not specifically state were with the people
I was 7 years old when JFK was assassinated and LBJ became president - my dad hated LBJ, mostly because of the free stuff, welfare, medicaid bull poop. Personally, IMO work provides dignity.
And LBJ was likely implicated in the murder of JFK, Vietnam was LBJ's war he was a hideous monster of a man. And no one should see Nixon as anything other than yet another war monger and whack job as listening to the tapes proves.
Agree, as well as Allen Dulles, CIA and Edgar Hoover, FBI. I recently discovered possible Mossad input too, mostly in order to get the bomb. FWIW, check out:
It would be one thing if the GOP had said they want to reform Medicare as Kennedy has talked about. But they don't. There is no sane rationale for their budget bill as David Stockman and so many others like Elon Musk have said, it's an insane bill that gives tax breaks to the rich, money they don't even need and will likely just buy luxurious crap with, explodes spending on regressive things like the military and will lead to staggering deficits. These corporatist Republicans have no conscience that's why they were unable to justify this; they can't justify the Epstein decisions, Trump was afraid for his rich friends.....Their priorities are crappy, cut real and useful government jobs, tariff chaos, more masked raids, now more money and military for Ukraine. Nothing Trump said is worth a damn.
Trump knows his name ranks high in the epstein files. I figured they would never come out. I don’t like him. There hasn’t been a good candidate in my lifetime- and longer. I’m sure we won’t see anything positive from this administration, but hopefully we won’t see a continuation of the slide we have had in the past 4 years. Trump is NOT a man of his word.
The fact is, both sides of the political spectrum are now corrupt. I want to remind you, dear reader, that there was a time when civil disobedience involved taking up arms against those who are abusing their assigned power. I am not talking about the Revolutionary or Civil War. I am talking about the Battle of Athens, TN in 1946 where pissed off veterans of WW2 staged an armed rebellion in response to corruption. Never heard of it? Do yourself a favor and read this - https://wisewolfmedia.substack.com/p/the-battle-of-athens
In the 90's, we had a French exchange student live with us. As a HS Jr, he had spent the two previous summers also as an exchange student in different cities. We had taken him many places, even out of state. I did have to tell him to shower and clean up after himself. Toward the end of his visit, I asked what he thought of America. He responded, "lazy, fat Americans." Hmmm
I have a nephew who has been thru alcohol rehab 4 times and his health care has paid for it every time and it has saved his job. Every time he has come out of rehab he has gone right back to the bottle with in a week. Now he has lost his good job and retirement over it messed his kids up. My daughter has spent a year trying to help him my husband and I have also tried to help him he has done nothing to help him self. I have heard so much stupid crap I could right a book. So we took a step back. I believe people should have help but there is a big difference between help and abuse.
I fell for the “free health insurance “ now it costs me $275 to see my general practitioner who works at a community health center which used to cost me $20 based on a sliding income scale. So now the government healthcare takes my healthcare tax credit of $3500 a month and I can’t afford to see my doctor anymore because I have “insurance.” Obamacare is the biggest scam ever!!
AND there should be a mandatory drug test to receive Medicaid!
Would that include sugar, tobacco, and alcohol?
All addicting substances....

Democrats always on the wrong side of financial logic
They’re soooo obtuse
Wake up, America. Stop playing into their game.
They themselves are using the term democrats so you got to call them out for embracing Marxism and communism.
they say Democracy is at risk. Such an evil statement when you tell me 2 wolves and a sheep decide whats for dinner in a democratic way. We did not get a government based on freedomd decided by a court. We had liberty with specific powers given to the government and those not specifically state were with the people
Logical!
My reasoning is that a lot of lefty’s even though they exhibit communist traits don’t identity as one
they are too stupid to even know what it means. Just quote Marx to them and see what they say. Future mayor of New York so miss quoted marx lately.
"From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs"

And Thomas Merton the peace activist and monastic wrote to Johnson; and he got whacked in Thailand at a conference. It was called an accident.
Agree 💯 Dignity and independence. Something you cannot have in a serf.
4 emotional losers vs Scott Jennings is not a fair fight. Scott easily handled all of them. CNN never learns.
Good to see they attempted to provide a balanced view! 🙄
According to a leading Trump biographer, Trump dropped the dime on Epstein leading to all the investigations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d41lU_AaocE&t=1890s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuayO3QpSAg&rco=1 The best we can hope for is that Trump gets replaced by Vance.
Thanks cuz I never watch CNN and missed it!
Scott Jennings is an awful human being. He turns my stomach.
Don’t watch him then. Your poor stomach.
What do you think of Steve Miller?

Thank you for sharing! I like Steve Miller! He tells it like it is!!
Scott Jennings acts like is a little girl when he’s on CNN! He’s no man, he’s still a boy. Grow some Scott, would ya!
Very worth the read/watch!
And while we're at it
Fuck Overton….
Yeah, and I love it.
Fuck Jennings…
Hmmm....a person has to work 2 jobs to stay even. The new Amerikan Dream?
