We've come to a point in our lives where we need to be our own doctors. There's a lot of holistic and organic health sites, where we can get educated on self-treatment. We can even make our own cures. Sure we might get some things wrong...but I'll match my intelligence to some of these "buffoons" as you choose to call them. Look how many people have died because of them. There two sites that I pay attention to regarding home remedies. Homesteading Family and Melissa K. Norris. They are Homesteading families that make their own meds from the herbs they grow organically. They follow very old remedies that have served the people of the world for centuries. Of course, doing this would be difficult for some people but those that have even a small plot of land can do most of their own medical remedies. There, of course, other homesteading families that have Youtube channels...please check them out. The Homesteading Family, on Youtube, have 11 children. They very rarely bring their children to the doctor. Their family thrives with good health. They obviously are doing something right:)
Just to reinforce your statement, my grandmother lived to 99 (shy 3 months to her 100th birthday). She lived on a ranch, grew all their own food, canned, raised chicken, beef, pork and goat for food, milked their own cows. Made bread from scratch, churned her own butter, etc, etc, etc,. I remember sometime in the 80’s wondering why her health was so good, when they ate gravy, and sausage and biscuits made with lard. This was when I was following the high carb/low fat diet recommended by the USDA food pyramid. All I got was fat! They had delicious food and were hardy and slender. Now I know!
